About Our Chef Chef Ron has an extensive culinary background. He is an honors graduate of Johnson & Wales Culinary School in Providence, Rhode Island, with more than a decade of experience from resort hotels throughout the mid west, to upscale restaurants of the northeast and Florida. Chef has worked in Lake Tahoe, NV, Steamboat Springs, CO, Park City, UT, and other resort destinations, as well. His passion for food, artistic touch and extensive training, show through in every bite. His food and presentation have won him high praises from customers and food critics. He was recently awarded a Bon Appetit Award, participated in a local Iron Chef Competition and assisted Honoluana in being recognized by the Greater Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, as Business of the Month, as well as being a nominee for Business of the Year. Fresh ingredients and local flavors are Chef Ron's favorite items to work with. He often finalizes menus only after checking to see what seafood is fresh, or produce is being harvested, to ensure that ingredients are at their freshest. Chef Ron's creations are almost always made entirely from scratch, with flavor, freshness, and presentation in mind. Some of his most recent menu selections include Coconut Mahi Mahi, Tuna Tropicale, Mt. Fiji Meatloaf, Mushroom Ribeye, Island Shrimp Scampi and Seafood Alfredo. So, be sure to stop in and try some of Chef 's latest creations. Parties of all sizes are welcome and catering on or off premises is available.
